Chapter 122
"You didn't get water on your wounds, did you?" Dominic asked.
"No." Judy shook her head.
"That's good. You'll need to change the dressing again. If everything goes well, we can remove the gauze and let the wound heal by itself. Still, you need plenty of rest," Dominic advised.
"Thank you," Judy signed.
Judy's injured leg was resting on a stool as Dominic bandaged her wound. The light that hung on the ceiling was bright, casting a soft halo on his head.
"What happened yesterday? Was it him again?" Dominic gritted his teeth.
"No, it had nothing to do with him," Judy denied.
"You don't need to defend him, I know the kind of person he is. He doesn't care about anything or anyone except for himself and his business. He's always been like this." Dominic sighed.
Judy wanted to speak up for Clark. But seeing Dominic's determined expression, she didn't know where to begin.
Just as they were talking, Lora's voice came from downstairs. "Welcome back, Mr. Reid. Have you had dinner?"
