Chapter 65 The Misunderstanding
Cordelia jumped off the bed like a cat whose tail had been stepped on, her shimmering eyes alert as she stared at him.
"How come you're sleeping on the bed?" she questioned.
Benedict lay in his designated spot, eyes closed, his handsome and dignified features illuminated by the lamplight. "This is my room. Why can't I come back?"
"Then I'll go to the guest room."
Cordelia harbored a deep-rooted fear of Benedict, especially when they were alone.
The intangible pressure emanating from Benedict would envelop her, making her feel trapped in the clutches of danger.
As she attempted to get up, Benedict grabbed her wrist. The warmth radiating from his palm almost burned her skin.
"In the middle of the night, who said you could wander around?" he questioned.
