Chapter 4 We Like the Excitement PART 2
Exiting the car, the two of them walked in.
During the photo session, the photographer suggested they sit closer, teasing. "Why do you two seem so unfamiliar, like you just met?"
Cordelia's cute face blushed, and she smiled. "We had a flash marriage. We like the excitement."
Benedict glanced at her with no good humor. This woman was so shameless.
After taking the photos, they quickly completed the registration.
Cordelia looked at the new marriage certificate, a satisfied smile on her lips. In just three months, she would receive what her mother left for her.
"Thanks, Mr. Radcliffe. You can go about your business now," Cordelia said.
Benedict furrowed his brow. What did she mean? They got the license, and she was kicking him out?
He snorted and turned, getting into his car and driving away.
Cordelia hailed a cab and headed back to school. She was in her senior year, still with a few major courses to attend.
She rushed back in time for a class with a stern professor.
However, the classroom was full when she arrived, except for one empty seat at the back.
"Excuse me, man. May I?" she asked, walking toward the empty seat.
The slim figure next to her shifted, wearing a casual hoodie and a hat hiding a pair of limited edition headphones worth a million dollars. His clean and delicate face exuded an air of nobility, and his narrow eyes raised slightly. Every move he made carried an air of aristocracy.
Their eyes met, widening in surprise.
The handsome young man sneered. "Cordelia, your butt is so big. Does one chair not accommodate you?"
Cordelia glared at her nemesis, instantly ready for a battle. "I noticed your butt looks like a pie, so I left some room for you to fit in, to avoid falling and breaking yourself."
Joseph Radcliffe's eyes flared with anger, his cold face filled with hostility.
The classmates in front turned to glare at Cordelia.
"It's Cordelia again! She deliberately makes Joseph angry every time!"
"Doesn't she know our idol just finished filming all night and rushed back for class? It's hard for him. We purposely left the back seat for him to rest quietly. Is Cordelia deliberately stirring up trouble?"
"She's deliberately trying to get Joseph's attention using this method!"
Cordelia rolled her eyes in her mind. Idol? Everyone in school was a student. Why did he get special treatment?
"If anyone is afraid that I'll disturb your idol, feel free to switch seats with me. I don't want to sit too close to him," she retorted.
Joseph raised an eyebrow, warning her with a voice only they could hear. "If you dare to switch seats with someone else, I'll tell them you like me."
Cordelia was infuriated by his shameless move. She knew their already tense relationship had upset many young ladies. If a rumor spread, her university life would be even more troublesome.
The professor arrived.
Cordelia didn't want trouble, so she sat down obediently.
She glanced at the handsome and cold face in front of her, feeling he was acting strangely today. Usually, he would give her a glare when he saw her, but today, he let her sit beside him.
She didn't have time to think more, as the strict professor's class was challenging and fast-paced, and a moment's distraction meant falling behind.
Joseph listened to the lecture, occasionally glancing at the young lady. Cordelia, with a round face, nibbled on her bread, hands typing rapidly on the keyboard, completely ignoring him.
At this moment, he seemed not like a campus heartthrob or a big star, but an ordinary student. He was inconspicuous and could easily be himself.
When class ended, Cordelia was still organizing her notes when she received a message from Archibald, asking her to come home immediately.
