Chapter 100 Joseph's Request
Benedict's face darkened slightly, and in the depths of his deep black eyes, three figures danced around. "They're family, his aunt and cousin. Any problem with that?"
Maisie hesitated at the mention of family. She didn't mean it in the traditional sense. She meant they were like a couple.
She smiled faintly, betraying no hint of discomfort. "Yeah, it's nice that they get along so well."
Benedict remained silent, his narrow eyes cold as ice.
"Well, I should head back now. See you on Saturday."
Maisie cast a lingering glance at the handsome, sculpted face before turning to leave.
As the chefs emerged carrying trays of barbecue and meats, heading toward the courtyard for grilling, Benedict inquired, "Who prepared this?"
The chef replied respectfully, "It was Joseph."
Benedict snorted. 'Joseph sure knows how to freeload. Comes to my house to play with my dog and eats my food.'
