Chapter 13

Athena and Vala (Part 3): The veil was visible again and it opened. The loud gasps that filled the air made Vala smile in triumph. She caught Athena's arm and drew the goddess towards herself, and surprisingly hugged her. "I have been playing around with you Athena, but don't try this next time, if you think it's because you are the goddess of war you will try to misbehave with every goddamn creature you see, then you are wrong, because I am your goddess of death." Vala said hugging the life out of Athena. The goddess tries to free herself from the Vala tight hold but couldn't. "Don't embarrass yourself, I am not done yet. Don't ever try to cut my path Athena, or else I'll cut the lines of your life." She added and released her hold on the goddess, smiling as she let go of Athena. "Darling." Athena said going to meet Ruthless. "Will you just stand there and watch her insult me?" She asked, she raised up her hand to touch him. "Do not touch me Athena, if you don't want what happened to Zeus's to happen to you." Ruthless warned and Athena who was inching closer to him halts in her movement. Facing Vala and finding her smirking, "This isn't over yet, slave girl, just remember this face cause you will be hearing from me sooner." Athena said. "Oh I have so many things to remember but definitely not your face Athena." Vala said dismissively. Athena snarled and disappeared. "So Mr Handsome, I got the puzzle right so no more killings." Vala said to Ruthless "Two days." Ruthless said and walked past her. "And don't call me Handsome." He added. "But that was not part of the deal, we agreed that if I get the puzzle right you will stop Killing, forever." Vala said walking up to meet him and block the entrance of the veil prompting Ruthless to stop. "We made a deal Mr Ice and Fire and you must keep to that." "Look here chain girl, I don't have time for this, besides you should be happy that I agree for just two days." "For just two days? We have a lot of witnesses here who can testify that they heard and saw when we made the deal, so there is no way out of this, the deal is on." Vala told him with a lopsided smile. "Witnesses?" Ruthless said turning around to face the students and teachers. "Did any one of you hear and saw when she was talking about the deal?" He asked their quiet audience. "No, we didn't see anything Ruthless." Both the students and teachers, except Blue, said in unison. Vala was surprised when she heard that. Ruthless faces her again. "Two days or I am out." He said nonchalantly. "Fine, but please don't chase us away when you come to the cafeteria to eat. It's money we use to buy our food, so we don't want it to go to waste.." Vala said and waited for him to say anything, when she realized he wasn't going to say anything. She added. "I will keep my eyes on you." "You can keep your eyes to yourself, now get out of my way." Ruthless said and Vala moved out of his way. Vala wondered why he didn't disappear but got her answer when he touched the veil and they melted only to be replaced by fire which dispersed after Ruthless went into the building. The students and teachers went back into the other building. Fairy came to meet her. "You did well and I am sorry for not supporting you back then." Fairy said in a sad tone. "It's okay, let's go to class." Vala said with a smile and Fairy led her towards the first floor. "I will see you later Vala." Fairy said before following the other students who are going to the second floor. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ "I can't believe that just happened." Ice Fang, the biggest Lycan werewolf made of Ice, said. "Yeah, me too." Windy, the Leopard made of Wind, supported. "I'm still replaying what happened right here in my head, just can't believe a new girl beat us to our own game." Flame, the Lion made of Fire, chips in. "We spent more than a hundred years putting that hard puzzle together only for her to solve it within a few minutes, not hours. I'm heart broken." Ice Fang said. "Should we gang up and beat her because I have a hundred ways to make her cry." Windy said. "I suggest we attack her in her dream and tell her how heartbroken we are." Flame suggested. "Or, we steal her brain and divide it into three parts with I taking the largest share and fling her body in ice water." Ice Fang told them. "None of you won't touch her or do her anything, and can I please concentrate here." Ruthless said as he opened his eyes, tilted his head to look at them. His spirit beasts were hovering above him as they held their discussion. "Aren't you bothered by her presence in this goddamn school?" Flame asked. "No, should I?" "Yes you should, first of all she challenges you in the cafeteria and now, she just solves the puzzle within a few minutes, she's a threat to us and must be eliminated." Windy said. "She's a threat to you but not to me. We are not eliminating her, and you all know why." "We all know, but you shouldn't tempt fate master, rather you surprise fate." Ice Fang said. "Fate doesn't work on my side, I control it." Ruthless said. "Now allow me to concentrate and the three of you, come and join me in meditating." "Alright, I think I need to take a nap, see you all later." Ice Fang said and disappeared. "Yeah me too." Windy said and disappeared. "Me three, meditate very well master, your humble servant needs to rest." Flame said and was gone. "I thought as much." Ruthless said. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ There was nothing much to teach them because today was their first day of school. So the teachers all did revision of what they were taught in their old school. Once it was afternoon, the time for closing, some of the students packed their books and left for their house, whilst the others went to their hostel. Vala, who couldn't wait for Fairy, left the school. She couldn't wait to see zelik. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ King Galore was surprised when he saw the Dragon King with a man and a woman inside his throne room. "Please sit down." King Galore offered them seats. "We do not come here for that my King." The dragon King responded. "Okay, so what do I own this august visit of yours King Rex?" King Galore asked the dragon King. He was told from his chamber that he has visitors waiting for him in his throne room. "Your son Ruthless." King Rex replied. "Oh my, what did he do this time around?" Kng Galore asked. "He killed one of my council member's sons today in school." King Rex said. "Talk to your son King Galore to stop this madness of his, it is getting out of hand or else..." The door to the throne room opened. "Or else what Rex?" Ruthless voice was heard startling his father, Rex and the two dragon people with them. "My beloved Prince I didn't know you will be back from school so soon." King Rex said. "Good afternoon my Prince." "I asked a question Rex, or else what?" "Or else nothing will happen my Prince." King Rex responded fearfully. "I thought so." Ruthless said and walked closer to the parents of the dragon boy he had killed. He stared at them coldly before returning his gaze to King Rex, his expression never changing. "The boy that I killed, do you know he's a child molester? And do you know the funnest part of it? His parents know. They cover up his wrongdoings because of the status you gave to them. They threatened the parents of the child their son had molested and that's why you haven't received any complaint from the victims. He rapes little girls and has the backings of his parents, so I cleaned it up for you. Since you don't know what is going on in your kingdom and I know, I am helping you to clean up your mess, you should be thankful for that Rex. Or am I not doing it right, father?" Ruthless asks Galore.
