After Nile’s death, the royal troops scoured the palace for rogues. They also searched the capital city and found many who had been waiting for orders from Nile.
Much to Julian’s displeasure, as soon as order was restored in the palace, Lyra announced that she wanted to go back to the Red Moon Pack. Not only that, but she also wanted to bring the willing rogues to her pack.
“Everybody accused you of working with the enemy when they found out you spared the rogues who attacked Red Moon,” he told her. “Why do you want to take in these ones too?”
“If I don’t, where else will they go?” she asked him.
“Nowhere,” he replied. “They’ll stay in the dungeons, where they belong. They infiltrated the capital and the palace. They must pay for their crimes.”
“They were simply obeying their king’s orders,” Lyra argued. “When I interrogated them after Nile’s death, they were willing to live peacefully in the kingdom. Most of them are powerless werewolves who could only have relied on a powerful Alpha
