Chapter 8: Are You Playing Hard to Get?
The body subconsciously retreated, but slipped and fell to the ground because there was water on the floor.
Just as she was about to hit the ground, she suddenly felt a strong arm holding her.
Aria's eyes widened and she fell into a warm embrace before she could return to her senses.
The tip of her nose was haunted by a faint smell of tobacco. Grayson's rough palm was touching her waist and her chest was clinging to his. The temperature seemed to be gradually rising, making Aria's face red and her heart beat wildly.
"Gray... Gray... Grayson." Aria's mind was blank and she faltered, not knowing what to say.
"Why? What are you blushing at?" Grayson smiled with banter, but his palm drifted restlessly.
Everywhere he touched, a flame was ignited, and Aria's breathing became difficult.
The words she had originally prepared for a long time before she came were stuck in her throat. She couldn't say anything, but her hands were subconsciously pushing back.
"Are you playing hard to get?" Grayson's voice was derisive, his brows raised gently, and the radian of his lips seemed to have a demagogic power, "Should I cooperate with you?"
At this point, his smile suddenly disappeared, and he was vaguely angry. The low husky voice seemed to crush her self-esteem.
Cooperate?
Aria was about to break free from his control when Grayson grabbed her by the wrist, turned over suddenly, and pushed her against the wall.
"Ah!"
She screamed...
Grayson locked her hands behind her back and pressed her white face against the cold wall, as her back was clinging to his boiling chest. Aria felt uncomfortable with the feeling of ice and fire.
The intimate color lights were flashing in the private room, making part of the man's cold handsome face bright and the other part in shadow.
Aria's face was pale and her palms were sweating with fear.
A handbag hung on her arm, which was half-opened due to her struggle just now. A piece of paper leaped into Grayson's eyes. He frowned and a storm was brewing in his eyes that were like a lake.
Grayson naturally knew what the paper was. His hand paused and he suppressed the urge to pull out the paper. He bent over and sprayed his hot breath into her ear, but his tone was so cold that it made Aria tremble.
"Aria, it's been six years, I didn't expect that the first time you look for me is for a divorce. It's ridiculous!" Grayson gave a light, self-deprecating laugh with the darkness in his eyes.
In the large box, the flames of danger were on the verge of eruption.
It was estimated that the receptionist of Harris Group had already informed him that Aria was looking for him.
"Aria, you are really something! You have been married to me for five years, but you have been in love with someone else. As a wife, you did not behave yourself. In this case, why did you marry me at the beginning?"
A tide of rage surged through Grayson and he asked in a fierce voice.
Aria was stunned. Somehow, the string of reason suddenly broke, "No, no! I didn't!"
She shouted hysterically, her body trembled with agitation, the tears that had accumulated in her eyes flowed down uncontrollably, and her thin lips were pale.
But just after the words came out, Aria seemed to realize something and was stunned. Then she turned her head and saw Grayson thoughtful with her bleary eyes.
Aria panicked instantly, biting her lip.
"I... no..." She hesitated and her voice was slightly hoarse, "That day, I saw... saw you and Zoe..."
Grayson stared at her pretty side face and asked coldly, "What did Zoe and I do..."
Aria nodded, compressed her lips, hesitating to continue.
After a long period of silence, it seemed that time had stagnated at that moment. Aria was full of thoughts and finally said, "You and Zoe, in, in the Z Mall... you... clung... clung together."
After jabbering, Aria breathed a sigh of relief, but the next second, her heart was brought into her mouth again.
A snort from the man came in her ears. Even if the music was loud, Aria still recognized the coldness in the laughter. She felt that a mountain fell on her and her clear eyes were wet with tears, waiting for Grayson's reply in fear.
Grayson's angular lips drew a sarcastic radian, his handsome face was covered with haze, and his dark pupils were especially cold in the light.
Z Building? Zoe and him?
This was ridiculous!
"Grayson..." Seeing that he had been silent for a long time, Aria called him carefully.
Was his silence an admission of what she said?
That day in Z Building, she saw a handsome man and a beautiful woman hold each other and walk into Z Hotel. She was familiar with the tall black figure, and in his arms was Zoe, who was smiling like a flower.
She raised her eyes, but her chin was suddenly gripped, and she was forced to turn her head to look at him. The strength made Aria gasp lightly.
Grayson's blazing eyes fell on her pale and delicate face. The calm gaze was cold and unreadable.
The two of them were in a stalemate in silence.
"Aria..."
After a long while, Grayson's cold and low voice came to Aria's ears.
