Chapter 6: Shudder
Grayson drew heavily on the cigarette between his fingers and smiled faintly, which made people shudder.
Grayson did not say anything and looked calm.
Mason was a little embarrassed. He didn't hear Grayson's reply for a long while, who didn't even take a look at the woman he specially prepared for him...
Mason's smile faded and he came forward. His handmade leather shoes stepped on the broken glass, making a frightening rustle.
The temperature in the private room dropped bit by bit.
"What is going on here? Who exactly had the courage to disturb Mr. Grayson?" Mason snapped and kicked over the crystal table in front of him, making a loud noise.
The crowd's hearts thumped and they had a look of fear on their faces.
The boss of "Heaven on Earth" was not one to be messed with!
Hearing this, the woman covering her face with broken glass on it suddenly stood up weeping and pointed at Riley with a shaking hand, "It was her... her... Mr. White, it was her making trouble!"
"I... I... you're talking nonsense!" Riley was incoherent with fear. "You made rude remarks first!"
Naturally, she knew that the people who could drink and have fun with Grayson in this private room could not be easily offended and she had heard about the violent and arrogant manner of Mr. White, the boss of Heaven on Earth.
If it wasn't for the hostess talking rubbish and bad-mouthing Aria, how could she have done such a thing?
In Riley's heart, Aria was a pure and gentle woman like a white lotus flower, as well as her rescuer. If it wasn't for Aria, she would have died long ago.
So, she vowed not to let Aria be bullied, even if she risked her life!
But when Mason's malicious eyes were fixed on her, she was uncontrollably scared and looked at Aria in panic. "Aria... you saw it... it was her..."
Riley's voice trembled and she could not speak, while the woman burst into tears in front of Mason, with a face full of tears and blood, looking shocking.
"Mr. White, I have been working hard in Heaven on Earth for several years, but look, this woman has made me like this. How can I continue to work in the future?"
The woman's tears poured down and her body shuddered.
The woman's cries echoed in the box. Mason did not ask anyone to take the woman to the hospital but stood there with a cold gaze.
He looked down as if he was thinking about something.
Seeing this, the woman cried more and more hysterically. She grabbed Mason's trouser leg with her blood-stained hands.
Mason frowned with an aversion, "Quiet! People of Heaven on Earth can't just be bullied. I will definitely help you! Stop crying!"
As he stopped speaking, the woman immediately choked back her tears, but her body was still shaking.
Mason turned his eyes to Riley with a light smile on his pale lips, but his black eyes were horribly sinister.
"How dare you hit her and make trouble here?"
Mason's voice was low as if from the abyss, which made people tremble with fear. He suddenly looked sideways and gave an order, "Break her hand!"
As soon as he spoke, the men in black, who were standing respectfully at the door, immediately stepped forward to drag Riley away. Riley was caught unprepared, staggered and fell straight to the ground.
"Aria..." Riley almost cried and looked tearfully at Aria for help. Aria's mouth twitched, "Let her go!"
Hearing this clear voice, Grayson's deep eyes rippled like lake water.
The men in black dragged Riley up from the ground, while Mason frowned and waved his hand. The men in black stopped and let go of Riley.
Aria pressed her lips and rushed to the front of Riley. She carefully helped Riley up and asked Mason with a frown, "Is this how Heaven on Earth conceals its faults: covering up for its employees who humiliated the guests, ignoring the law, and beating the guests?"
Under the dim light, Aria's beautiful features became more delicate and moving, which was striking among a group of heavily made-up women.
Smoke lingered on Grayson's fingertips, his eyes darkened, and the changes on his face all fell into Mason's eyes.
Mason had been working in such places for so long that he naturally saw something unusual among them.
He glanced at Grayson, and then looked sideways at Aria, with his arms around his chest, and showed a playful smile on his face.
The crowd was at a loss.
Aria saw Mason come up with graceful steps. She clenched her fists and stared at him unyieldingly, she still stared at him with no losing momentum.
Of course, she did not expect Grayson to come forward to help her.
From her appearance, Grayson had always been lazy and idle, as if he regarded her like air, without disclosing that she was his wife, and even when she was humiliated, he turned a deaf ear to her.
Now, she was completely discouraged.
If she had not held out hope at the beginning, how could she have been so desperate?
