I didn't like my role as the pack's sniper. Aside from it got me separated from Ariella, having a sniper seemed pretty useless now since the fog just got thicker. It almost felt like there was a huge fire somewhere near us causing this thick smoke. I couldn't see anything other than shadows and silhouettes of the people around me.
I wanted to fight alongside Ariella, but she pushed me away from David and saved my life. And even though I feel bad that it was Ariella who was protecting me rather than the other way around, David's presence actually scared the hell out of me. Plus, Ariella made a really good point. David will not kill her because he wants her for himself. It was the people around Ariella that were in danger from David.
