ELI. I froze when I heard what Jonathan said. "Did I hear that right? Ariella is the daughter of the Moon Goddess? What does that mean? " I was glaring at him because I could not believe what he just said. "It means what it says," he replied. "Ariella is special. Her mother is the Moon Goddess." "What? So your wife wasn't a werewolf? And does that mean Ariella isn't your biological daughter?" But Jonathan shook his head, looking at me with despair in his eyes. "She's my daughter. But that's about it. I loved my wife so much even though she was different from us. When that fire happened, my wife was trying to save Ariella from the vampires that tried to abduct her. My wife got killed in the process, and after that, I was never the same again." I was speechless because I couldn't comprehend what Jonathan was telling me. His wife was a goddess? It sounded like it was straight from a fairy tale. Although we werewolves do believe in the Moon Goddess, no one has ever seen or met them. B
