Charlotte froze and got up. Then, Jason took her out of the private room while everyone was watching.
Outside, the traffic was bustling.
The two stood at the entrance in silence, out of place in the scenery.
Jason stared at her for a long time. With mixed feelings, he compromised after a long while, "You'll go back first."
It was already very considerate of him not to blame her, and she did not count on him to apologize on behalf of his friend. Charlotte hadn't been expecting it, so she wasn't disappointed.
