Chapter 2

CHAPTER TWO Sophia's pov ‘'Let go of me''I whispered as tears poured out like rain, he let go of me, breathing heavily. I laid on the ground, crying and trying to breathe as quickly as I could. I didn't know what I was feeling anymore, my body was numbed. Richard had turned into a monster, a cheat, manipulator and a liar. We have been married for five years now and this is how he was going to pay me. No! I can't live like this, I refuse to be married to a man who looks down on me, I refuse to still be with a man who does not respect me. I stood up slowly to look at him, his hands folded, his fists by his sides as he glared angrily at me. I am supposed to be the one mad and not him, I have endured enough and I refuse to take anymore. 'I'm going to leave you," I said. 'I'm going to take my children and leave. you're not Lucas anymore, I don't know you, I don't know who you are, you aren't the man that I got married to" I am going to show him that I could be better without him, I am an independent woman and would strive for myself. This nobody will show him what she's capable of. "Then leave!" He said. I didn't know what I was expecting or the tone in which he had said those words nonchalantly, shattered my heart. "Leave and go anywhere in the world you want to, but know that you are not taking my kids with you" "You don't know what you are saying Lucas, I have rights to those kids just as much as you do" I fired angrily at him but Lucas burst into a rancorous laughter. "You might be the mother to those kids but you are nowhere fit to raise them in the best environment" he said walking close to me. "And if you think, I am going to let you go away with my kids then you have another thing coming" he uttered in the coldest tone I have ever known. "You disgust me, Lucas. I regret the day I ever met you" I screamed in tears. "You are such a cheat, you piece of cshit" I yelled. "Oh, will you stop with your little act of innocence, you are worse than I am, you are calling me a cheat when you are the one who should be called that" he growled. "So you couldn't take it anymore and you decide to turn the table around huh? I can't believe what you have turned out to be" I pushed him away from me. "I will only repeat myself just this once, if you want to leave, then leave but you are going nowhere with my kids" he glared. "I would leave, but just know this, I would be back" I said. We glared at each other, detest and anger written on both faces, He eventually walked away leaving me in the kitchen. **************** "I love you both. " She whispered to the kids as I placed kisses on their foreheads. I was going to miss them so much but I have to do what I have to do. I wiped the tears away from my eyes but they weren't ceasing. I stood up and placed one final kiss on my baby's cheeks. The tears were already blinding my eyes. I didn't have the heart to take a second look at the kids while I left, I wouldn't be strong enough to go through with my plan. I did turn back. I would come back for you my darlings, Mommy would come back for you two. You would grumble on your knees Lucas when I return, I will make you beg for my forgiveness, I will make sure you eat every word you have said about me.
