Chapter 93
The burial ended earlier than what I thought. By the end of it, I was crying so hard that no one could stop me.
Uncle Markus didn't come back after he left. He wasn't there when Lady Zelda is finally being buried six feet under the ground.
I wanted to follow him, but I think it would be better for him to stay alone for a moment.
After the burial and when everyone had already gone back to the palace, I chose to stay a bit and watch as two men cover up Lady Zelda's body with dirt.
Edmond saw me left behind, so he chose to stay and watch me too quietly. I know that he was there, standing right behind me but I pretended that I thought I was alone.
I was waiting for him to come and talk to me, and tell me about his presence. I don't know how I'm supposed to approach him, knowing the awkward conversation we had and the confession he just made. I just don't want to make things worse than it is.
"Your still going to pretend that I'm not here?" He asked behind me.
