As though the best friend had heard his thoughts, he intervened without a change in his tone of voice. "Paris Carter is busy preparing his engagement party with the oil tycoon's daughter. So, he won't be able to rendezvous with Maria even if he wanted to."
Those thick brows raised in surprise and then fell into relief.
"You still haven't told me where you're going," the secretary said in a nonchalant tone. "Are you coming back to the office since Maria has ditched you?"
