Finally Awake

Brianna's POV "Rogue…" I slightly pushed him away to look at his face. He stared at me with tears in the corner of his eyes. It breaks my heart to see his tears, so I slowly lifted my arm and wiped his tears with my thumb. "Don't cry," I whispered with a hoarse voice. He sniffed and buried his face in my neck again. He hugged me as if his life depended on me. His warmth feels so comfortable. In his arms I feel so safe. I remembered what happened before I woke up. Did that really happen or I was just dreaming the whole time? I felt surreal, though. "Y-Your…Your heartbeat stopped," he paused and sucked his breath. His hug even tightened. "I thought I'd lose you." I lifted my chin and that's when I realized there are doctors around us. They are now checking me in spite of Rogue hugging me so tight. "She's normal, Mr. Ryder. And the baby is safe." My heart raced as I caressed my stomach. Right! Our baby is one of the reasons why I want to go back here. And my baby's daddy actually saved me
