CHAPTER 46: TRYING TO BRING OUT THE HUMAN
EMILIA’S POV
Cameron was at the library much of the time, looking through a ton of volumes to see if there was anything that could be of assistance. Charles also contributed, although he appeared to find the scenario considerably more amusing than it warranted.
A few days prior, Charles had told Cameron, "I mean, it could be worse." "At least she isn't attacking people while running amok through the forest."
Cameron didn't chuckle. I hadn't either.
I had started sleeping on our room's floor, curled up like a pet in the corner. I detested it. I detested how strange it felt and how oppressive the fear had grown inside of me.
I was unable to move.
Furthermore, I had no idea how to remedy it.
When Cameron eventually figured it out, it was late at night.
When he burst into the room with an old, frayed book in his hand, I was lying next to the fireplace, gazing into the fire. He fixed his fierce, resolute gaze on mine.
"I am aware of the issue," he declared.
