CHAPTER 30: THE STRAIN OF A GROWING BOND
EMILIA’S POV
Cameron finally noticed the staring and gossiping that was going on and he growled that kind of warning growl that had everyone barring their necks and looking away respectfully.
"Let them stare," he muttered, squeezing my hand.
"They’ll get over it."
I sighed, wishing I could disappear as everyone noticed the little gesture that Cameron just did.
"This is so embarrassing." I whispered.
He smirked, leaning in slightly. "You’re adorable when you are all flustered."
I glared at him.
"Not funny, Cameron. Don’t start getting all corky."
We walked straight to the pack house, ignoring the murmurs. Once inside, I moved to my room quickly and I soon as I got there, I exhaled loudly, leaning against the door. "That was awful."
I heard Cameron’s chuckle and I froze. I forgot that he followed me carrying my boxes.
"You’ll get used to it."
I turned around and looked at him and my heart raced.
I opened my mouth to speak and it looked like something was holding my tongu
