Seeing so many people at home, Emma was momentarily stunned.
She carried a large bag, struggling with its weight, her face red and sweaty.
“You’re back? Grandma has been worried about you all morning.”
Emma nodded at Irene and walked into the house.
Stefan was sitting on the sofa, drinking tea. His sleeves were slightly rolled up, and his long fingers held a pumpkin cake, making the cake look even more tender and crispy.
Emma asked, “Who is this?”
Emma glanced at Irene, then at Stefan.
This man looked cold and indifferent, as if nothing mattered to him, but Emma felt his temper wasn’t good.
