Chapter 8 Sam's POV

I was happy with his answer, but still feeling a little annoyed. My wolf hadn't calmed down yet. All my instincts were telling me to give her a proper lesson as to how to talk to my mate. But then again, I had to remind myself that Sarah was not a wolf. She was not used to our laws and I didn't want to do that in front of her unless really necessary. I decided to thrust that Georges would take care of his daughter. "Let that be my final warning.?? I told him still projecting my Alpha authority on them. As future Alpha, I shouldn't have to demonstrate my dominance unless someone would challenge my dad and then me for the lead of the pack. I was stronger than the rest of the wolves and the strength of the Alpha was running in my blood since I was the Alpha's son. Sarah took my hand and all of my anger disappeared. "Come honey,?? she told me softly, "Let's go see your mother before it's time for us to go back home.?? She was right, as always. I pushed through her mind, "Yeah baby you are right.?? We went away. I didn't turn back to look at Marissa or I knew my anger would return. As we went outside on the porch, Suzan grabbed Sarah by the hand. "Hey Sarah! You're not thinking about going without seeing me, right??? Sarah laughed. "I would never!?? She answered. "Okay come with me then!?? Suzan said while pulling Sarah's hand away from mine. Sarah turned to look at me, "Go see your mom, I'll be with your sister.?? She winked. I watched her go with my little sister and then found my mom sitting on a bench. I went to sit by her side. "Hey Mom.?? She smiled at me "Hey Sammy,?? she said with love. That was the nickname she gave me while I was growing up. "What's on your mind sweetie??? she asked. My mom knew me so well. I couldn't hide anything from her. "Hum?? I just have a lot on my mind?? There's this prophecy thing, Sarah was attacked at work, and now, Marissa is being disrespectful to her again.?? My mother put her hand on mine and squeezed it. "Yes, but you cannot control everything. You cannot force people to like each other, these things take time. Marissa will come around if you give her enough time. In the meanwhile, you should concentrate on the safety of your mate.?? She was right, as always. Mothers are always right, I should know. I smiled at her. "Yeah, you always know how to make me feel better mom. I hope you're right about Marissa. But I'll make sure Sarah is safe.?? She nodded, happy. "I'm happy that we got to see each other, it's been a while.?? She was right again; it's been too long. I needed to visit her more often. "You know,?? she started, "the day I have grandchildren, you better visit more often!?? I laughed at this comment, "And what makes you think you'll have grandchildren??? I asked her teasingly. She answered "Don't try to play dumb. I know how it works when you are fully mated. I've been there before.?? I burst out laughing, "Yeah I guess you did. Don't worry Mom, I'll visit more often, with or without grandchildren.?? She seemed happy with my answer. "Hey Sam!?? I looked up and saw Zach coming my way. "Hey what's up??? I answered. "It's time we leave, didn't you tell me we would go around noon??? I didn't realize time flew by this fast. "Oh, you're right! I'll get Sarah and we'll meet you at the car.?? I kissed my mother goodbye and went to get Sarah. Suzan wasn't happy about seeing us leave but she understood. I made it up to her when I told her we would come and visit more often. After a few kisses and hugs, we were in the car with Zach, ready to get back home. The drive home went fast. Everyone was a little lost in their thoughts, thinking back about good things that happened in the last few days. We dropped Zach at his home and then went back to my apartment. Or maybe I should say "our?? apartment. I hoped Sarah saw it this way. As we got home, unpacked our stuff, I noticed Sarah was feeling more tired than usual. I prepared supper while she took a bath. When she came out of the shower, I noticed something different about her scent. It was sweet and peachy, as always, but there was a little something different, barely noticeable. I got closer to her, put my arms around her and kissed her softly. "Hey babe, how are you feeling??? I asked her. "I'm a little tired but that's all.?? Still no sign of heat, and that change in her scent; I knew what it meant. I was so happy, I wanted to tell her right away. But I didn't really know how to tell her and was scared of how she reacted. My wolf was swollen with pride and happiness, I just wanted to howl so that everyone would know. Instead, I put my hand on her belly and told her, "You know, I think I know why you are feeling tired like that babe.?? She took a moment, then her eyes widened as she understood what I meant. "You think so??? "Yeah, we're gonna have a pup.?? I told her. She looked at me "A pup, you mean a baby, right??? I laughed, "Of course, I mean a baby.?? She put her hand on her mouth, "Oh my god, this is great! I mean I didn't really think about that but I'm really happy! Are you happy??? she asked, looking a little worried. "Are you kidding me??? I answered, "I'm ecstatic! This is so much more than I could ever hope for. My mate, the love of my life, and then a pup. I could never wish for more?? Except???? She looked at me, wondering what more I could wish for. I waited a little before answering, wanting to tease her a little. "Except, well, I think we should move together. You know not just temporarily. You should bring all of your stuff here and move out of your apartment. What do you say??? She thought a little. "Well, it's kind of fast, but I really love you, and with us becoming parents in a few months, I think it would be a great idea to move together.?? Her answer made me so happy, I took her by the waist, raised her in the air and kissed her passionately. Then she smirked and added, "You know, I haven't even introduced you to my parents.?? Oh right! I didn't even think about that and now she was pregnant. It worried me a little. How would they take to meet their daughter's boyfriend, and discovering at the same time she was pregnant? I asked Sarah worryingly, "Do you think they'll like me? Do you think they're going to be upset that you're pregnant??? She laughed at my questions. "They might think it's a little sudden. And maybe we should avoid telling them about lycanthropes. This will be a lot for them to take in. But other than that, I think they'll be happy, and they'll love you.?? Her answer reassured me. I hugged her tight, now knowing she was pregnant, my wolf wanted more than anything to keep her in my arms and to keep her safe. I bent down and kissed her flat belly, knowing that in only a few months it would swell to give room to our growing baby. We ate supper and then Sarah set up a video call with her parents. As she predicted, they were very happy to meet me. We will go and see them in person another day. Enough stuff already happened for today and tomorrow we would need to get to work. Sarah decided to wait a little before telling them about the baby. I could understand why. But she did tell them she was moving with me. They seemed happy, even though as Sarah predicted, they thought it was a little fast to move together. They will respect their daughter's choice as they seemed to think I was a good guy for her. We ended the call and then prepared to get to bed. We lay down together and I fell asleep basking in happiness, holding in my arms both my mate, and my pup that was growing in her belly.
