Ares and the others had been gone for long, and it didn’t seem like they would be back soon.
“Aunt Timmu, why aren’t they back yet? Do you think they ran into trouble?”
I nestled in Aunt Timmu’s embrace, feeling worried.
“Don’t worry, Aimee. They must’ve gotten so caught up in the intense competition that they lost track of time.” Aunt Timmu's towering werewolf form shielded me from the biting wind, giving me a great sense of assurance.
“But shouldn’t there be a time restriction in a competition? We‘ve been waiting for a while now.” I lifted my head to look at Aunt Timmu, whose eyes were glistening with concern.
“Yes, you’re right, but we need to trust them. They’ll be back in one piece.” Although Aunt Timmu sounded like she was convincing herself, she made efforts to console me.
She must be worried about Uncle Clemont too.
“Don’t worry, Aimee. They’re strong werewolves. The only thing we should do is wait and believe they will be back safely.” Aunt Timmu caresse
