Ares stayed in bed obediently to recuperate his injuries. When I opened the door, I saw him staring at the flowers at the window, spacing out.
“Ares, did you know about the army retreating?” I asked, panting from all the running.
Ares frowned, and I sensed there was more to the situation than met the eye.
“Kugler told you that?”
I nodded. “I went to him just now. I know that other than the army retreating, he also met with Amos, who told him my identity.”
After a long silence, Ares said, “Alright, I got it.”
Was that it?
Since I couldn’t do anything, the best I could do now was inform him of the situation, and he would have to figure out the rest himself.
