Chapter 44 Feud

Hearing the commotion, I threw on some clothes and rushed outside. Amos kicked away a soldier trying to drape warmer clothes on him, despite his poor attire.
I went to help the soldier up. Although he gave me a look of gratitude, he turned to look at the raging Amos with worry.
“What’s wrong with him?” I asked.
“Prince Amos used the medicine Dr. Mars gave him.” The soldier didn’t know what to say.
I asked in confusion, “What’s the matter? Didn’t the medicine help?”
It was unlikely that the medicine wouldn't work. Mars wouldn't give Amos something to talk about.
Mars’ mysterious smile entered my mind, and I shuddered. Maybe Mars did something to the medicine.
“The medicine is effective, but the smell is… strange,” the soldier explained.
Mars walked out of his tent, stretching and yawning.
“It’s late. Why are you here instead of in bed?”
“Look at what you did, Mars!” Amos stormed toward Mars and raised his arm, which was covered in a brown stain. “Smell this.
