Chapter 39 Foolish

I waited a while until I finally saw Amos galloping on a horse, raising a trail of dust behind.
Dressed in armory, Amos led his troops outside the enemy’s military base. I lay on top of the hill and saw the anger on his face.
“You bastard wolves! Get out here!”
Amos gritted his teeth, his eyes piercing as he raised his sword.
The soldiers behind may be waving their weapons around, but they had no confidence in winning the battle.
Amos was out seeking a fight when an arrow fired from high up, landing near the hooves of Amos’ horse.
“Ah!” Spooked, the horse raised his front hooves, and Amos, caught off guard, fell off the horse.
A nearby soldier dismounted his horse to help Amos up. By now, the fenced entrance of the Western Werewolves’ base camp swung open.
There stood Kugler, a captain I fought twice against.
He was an accomplished archer of the Western Werewolves.
Kugler fired an arrow earlier to insult Amos, and it had served its purpose.
