Chapter 25 Your Acting Is Terrible
[Aimee]
Finally, it was the day of the royal ball.
The delicate and intricate gown I wore took up most of the space in the wagon, but Ares insisted on being in the same carriage with me.
As far as I remember, whenever my stepmother put on such an intricate gown for an event, my father always readied two carriages.
Once we left on the carriage, Ares had been encouraging me since.
He could make out the distress on my face. That was why he chose to stay by my side instead of sitting in a more comfortable and spacious carriage.
I was moved by his kindness.
When we arrived at the palace, Ares got out first and told me to hold his hand when disembarking the wagon.
It was nothing to Ares, but his little action attracted the attention of many.
I glanced at the other wagons. The ladies and lasses who came down from their carriages were aided by their servants and maids. Only I had Ares helping me down.
“Let’s go inside, Aimee.”
He lifted his arm and signaled me to hold it.
