Hayden didn't stop Ophelia this time, perhaps fearing that it would be too obvious if he did. He silently closed his eyes and tried to sleep. He knew that things this time would likely not end the way it had a few years ago.
A fall down a mountain road would usually end in death, with only a slim chance of survival. Even if Thaddeus did survive, the car would be destroyed and burned, leaving no evidence behind.
A sense of satisfaction strangely filled Hayden as he thought about how Thaddeus could not outsmart him.
