Her words pierced me, as sharp and cold as the knife in that dream I once had. Her hatred was so deep that it was impossible to ease.

Before I could finish, the call was abruptly disconnected. I suddenly realized that the car's steering wheel had malfunctioned after I had come too close to the mountain wall earlier.
