Chapter 147
Hunter looked at Tristan with pleading eyes, hoping for some mercy. After all, Hunter was one of his close friends. Tristan couldn't just ignore him.
He turned to Nolan and said softly, "Mr. Greene, Hunter knows that he was in the wrong. Perhaps you could consider going a bit easier on him?"
Nolan glanced at Tristan and replied calmly, "Are you telling me what to do?"
At these words, Tristan felt that he lost all his dignity, but he didn't dare to show any anger. Even Lincoln treated this man with respect; how could he dare to be presumptuous?
"No, no, Mr. Greene, you've misunderstood. I wouldn't dare." As he said that, Tristan turned to Hunter and slapped him hard across the face. "Who said you could negotiate? Do as Mr. Greene instructed, right now!"
Hearing this, Hunter knew there was no way out and resigned to his fate. He sighed softly, clenched his teeth, then knelt down hard on the shattered glass on the floor.
Instantly, the sharp pain caused Hunter to cry out in agony.
