Chapter 74 Trouble.
"Why?" Tristan said as he dug into his veggies. "I kept it light just like you wanted—barely added any salt."
"But it's kind of tasteless," Nova chuckled.
She did ask for a light meal, but this was almost too light—like rabbit food.
"Eating light is good for you," Margaret added with a grin, sensing something special brewing between the two. She playfully nudged, "Are you guys keeping secrets from me?"
"Secrets...?" Nova feigned ignorance, looking utterly baffled.
"Really, no secrets?" Margaret pushed, clearly skeptical.
But seeing Nova reluctant to share, she didn't press further. She knew Nova would come clean eventually.
With that, Margaret dropped her utensils and headed to the door to change her shoes. "Alright then, I'm off to dance at the square."
The door closed behind her.
Nova gazed at the green veggies on the table and sighed deeply.
She wasn't usually fussy, but today's meal just didn't appeal to her.
