CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY SIX – PLAUSIBLE EVIDENCE
"Shh," Marion hissed. "Do you want to get us both killed?"
Laura stopped struggling, and Marion released her. "What are you doing here?" Laura whispered.
"Following you," Marion replied. "I had a feeling you might do something reckless. Looks like I was right."
"Marion, I heard her," Laura said urgently. "Vivienne's definitely the traitor. We need to tell Logan."
Marion shook her head. "Not yet. We need more than just your word. Come on, let's get back to our posts before we're missed."
Reluctantly, Laura followed Marion back to the main area of the compound. The sounds of fighting had intensified, with growls and howls piercing the night air.
As they rejoined the fray, Laura caught sight of Logan, his massive werewolf form tearing through enemy combatants. She fought her way towards him, determined to warn him about Vivienne.
"Logan!" she shouted over the chaos. "I need to talk to you! It's urgent!"
