Chapter 3

The men gathered round her, theirs guns pointed at her. She shut her eyes tightly and crossed her arms. She stayed in that position, she could feel the angry restless power in her, she couldn't control it, it was acting on its own. She could feel the force. The minute she opened her eyes and scream, the whole place shook violently, all the guns were destroyed as they diminished, the men were thrown into the air and knocked out, the trees around were uprooted from the root. A strong wind spin rounded her till her scream died down and it settled. She felt weak and dizzy then she collapsed to the floor, the last thing she saw before loosing consciousness was the worried face of all her family members. She tried to move her body, but the pains put her back in place, she struggled to open her eyes, they were so heavy and the brightness in the room blinked her eyes. She tried to figure out where she was. Then it flashed into her mind. Her eyes opened immediately, she sprang up the bed, but her legs betrayed her, and she fell to ground, hitting her body hardly. Just then she heard the door open and some people rushed towards her. "Jupiter?" She heard her twin sister usual comforting voice, she forced herself to stand with the helping hands of her sister and brother. She opened her eyes again and could see the swollen face of mercury and her mother with the gloomy face of the males. "Venus?" she whispered as she sat on the bed, but they ignored the question. "where is she?" She asked, "where is Venus?". "She's at her room" her father replied. "I want to see her now!" She said climbing down again but her brother held her back. "Be calm, you need enough rest, you'll see her later" he spoke staring at her with concern. "Did you see them?" She whispered, and they nodded in unison. "They are in our custody now, I don't understand what happened, how they got in and everything" her father indirectly questioned "It's all my fault" she cried and buried her head on her father's chest. "I caused her death, I broke the boundary, I destroyed a part of the forest". "We can't possibly believe that" Mercury argued. "No one can break the boundary easily, only the Royal family but with steady rituals for two full moon" prince Mars added. "The boundary has never been broken for centuries, I was a little child when my grandfather told me about the last time the boundary was broken" her father spoke. "The boundary can't be broken by you, you have no wolf" her mother added her own point. "I can't and won't lie to you all" she spoke truthfully. "And about destroying a part of the forest, how is that possible? Maybe Venus wolf did that" prince Mars said. "A living wolf can't do that, not even a dying wolf" she said becoming angry that they didn't believe her. her mother patted her back softly. "Tell us what Happened Jupiter, I would believe you" her mother said with a smile and Jupiter nodded. "Venus said a lot of things to me after I left the hall, I got really mad at her and spoke back at her harshly before running into the first with anger, I didn't know why she followed me" she explained. "I spoke to her too, of her ill-treatment towards you, I guess she felt remorse and came to search for you and apologies" Mercury added what she felt was the missing piece and let Jupiter continue. "I didn't know when i broke through the boundary, I didn't feel it, I was angry, I didn't realize when I broke it down" "You aren't so sure, maybe it was broken down already, remember you were angry, maybe you didn't notice" Mercury interrupted "You want to listen to me or you want to argue. You could do the talking and I'll be listening quietly" Jupiter shouted angrily. "Sorry" Mercury whispered. "Go on Jupiter" her father said "I didn't mean to cross the boundary, I didn't know when it happened, I saw myself at the other side, then I heard voices, they found me and came after me. I ran and when I got to the boundary I realized it was broken, I moved in and hid, then waited for them to come so I could fight, I didn't want them going into our kingdom even if it meant fighting to till the last drop of my blood. "That wasn't a good idea" her mother said sadly "It was the best Jupiter; a good leader defends his or her people till the end" he smiled "I trained you well" She continued the story, from meeting the younger boy and Venus searching for her and then Venus ambush and the gun shot. she explained the power she felt inside her and how she destroyed the people and the forest. They stared quietly at her when she was done speaking, all of them clearly confused in their own way and the others doubting everything she said. They all knew it was impossible. "I guess they were all imaginations and they never happened" her father said "That's right my baby" Irine added and Jupiter gasped in surprise, they couldn't believe her, her family didn't believe her, did they think she was lying or going insane? "Then what about Venus? I watched her die" she argued. "Venus is resting in her room, you can go see her yourself" Mercury answered and Jupiter blinked in confusion, that isn't possible. She jumped down from the bed and moved out of the room and headed to search for Venus and her family joined her, she walked barefooted, she wore a long polo, her hair was rough and scattered but she cared less. The maids and other staffs stared at her in surprise. "do you think she's going insane out of frustration?" Mercury asked Mars sadly. "She's perfectly fine, there's just something hidden and our parents know, I believe her" he answered shocking Mercury and she went silent thinking about what she heard. The couples were quiet but had a deep discussion going on in their mind as they mind link each other. "Do you think you should still tell her?" Irine asked "I'm not so sure, we promised to tell her about it today, but she's still unstable" her husband, the former Alpha, king Desmond spoke. "What do we do? She's going insane" "I strongly want to believe her but she's without power, she can't do what she had said" "What about Venus death? " The woman asked "We both know she was shot in the chest, right through her heart but she's still alive" "I can't tell what happened, I'm confused too" "We must tell her the truth Tonight" the woman pleaded, and the man nodded in response. Jupiter pushed the door open, Venus there on the bed staring at nothing. Jupiter stood speechless, this wasn't possible. She watched Venus die out of gun shot and now the same Venus was staring back at her. Jupiter moved forward slowly, she could feel the presence of her family behind her, all staring curiously. "Venus?" She called still moving into the room "Jupiter" her sister answered. "I watch you die, you died" she said. "Maybe I didn't ". "We both know what happened, stop making it look like I'm crazy or demented "she shouted. "You aren't insane, you're special" Venus smiled. "Tell them what happened, they won't believe me" Jupiter begged. "I guess you told them already, seems they won't believe me too". "Do you believe me?" Jupiter asked. "I want to believe you, but I can't " she replied and looked at her parents who mind link her not to say anything to Jupiter. Jupiter nodded slightly, feeling betrayed, she backed off and began leaving. "You're special Jupiter" Venus said again as Jupiter walked out from the room, Venus turned back to her parents "she has something different". "She's human" the father spoke bluntly surprising everyone except their mother " What did you say?" Mars asked. "She's not our child" he continued "I found her in that same forest, at that same spot we found she and Venus. She was a baby, it was obvious she was just born, she was still covered in blood, wrapped around a large protective woolen cloth. I found her the same day Mercury was born" "Oh, my goodness!" Mercury exclaimed in tears "you lied to her, to us for nineteen years, we aren't even siblings and you made us believe we were twins, you made her believe she was unfortunate person in the midst of us without a wolf, the people insulted her, Venus hated her. Why? Father why did you make her suffer?" "I didn't want the people to know she was human, they would want to kill her because we hate humans, I trained her as my child and she made me believe that not all humans were heartless" the man smiled weakly. "When are you going to tell her?" Venus asked in tears. "We don't know how to tell her" he replied. "You don't need to bother telling me"they heard her voice and the turned to meet Jupiter's swollen teary face at the door, the pains and betrayal were written on her face, they hadn't smell her coming because she had no wolf. She turned and ran away and they all hurried after her.
