Chapter 94: Me, A Leader?
"Mr. Brooks?!" The room was filled with astonishment. Among those present, only Stacey, Ava, and a few in-the-know production team members were not surprised. No one had anticipated that the guest would be Matthew Brooks.
"Mr. Brooks, you're not late. Mr. Burton hasn't shown up yet," Natalie announced.
Her eyes sparkled differently when they locked with Matthew's compared to when they did with Clark's. Her affection for Matthew was genuine.
"Mr. Burton hasn't arrived?" Matthew responded with a meaningful smile. "It's about time.
"We still have a minute," Stacey snapped back coolly. "The agreed time was two o'clock. He won't be late."
"Is it already two?" Matthew chuckled, glancing at his wristwatch. "Well, according to my watch, it's already two."
"Then your watch must be faulty," Stacey retorted dismissively. "Even the priciest watches can't make up for the gaps in your brain."
A stunned silence filled the room.
Matthew glared at her. She certainly wasn't holding back.
