Stacey was behaving with immense grace.
At the very least, she was dead set on not making Conor look bad.
Even though she couldn't blow her cover by removing the mask, she could act like a regular person.
"Sister!" Luna darted over, throwing her arms around Stacey, "So good to see you!"
Stacey pushed Luna off. A hug? Pass. It was sickening. She knew Luna was trying to show off some deep sisterly bond, but she wasn't going to play into her hands.
Stacey held onto Conor's arm, her face a picture of fear. Conor gave her a side eye, noting her flair for theatrics. She played the scared damsel pretty convincingly. If anyone else had that look, it would have seemed fake. But on Stacey's face, it seemed real.
Conor realized he didn't think of her as ugly anymore.
Luna barely avoided tripping. "Stacey, what the hell are you doing!" she snapped.
