Chapter 27: May I Play This Role?
Stacey furrowed her brow. Although the delay wasn't entirely her fault, she did cause a bit of a holdup.
Minnie stepped in, "Aurelia's arrival might be late, but it wasn't because of her. It was Mr. Burton who got held up."
Yareli Miller, the actress who remarked, was infamous for being one of the most challenging personalities in the Entertainment circle.
Minnie hadn't initially considered her, but the director saw some potential and invited her to audition.
"Who knows if you're just trying to shift the blame onto Mr. Burton," Yareli scoffed.
"I admit I was late," Stacey responded calmly, "If you're not willing to wait, you're free to leave. No one is forcing you to stay."
Yareli snapped her compact shut, stood up, and glared at Stacey. "Who gave you the right to act so arrogantly when you're the one wasting other people's time?"
"Yareli Miller! Be quiet! "Director Colleen Watts snapped back, trying to calm her down.
"I was just teaching her some manners," Yareli grumbled.
