Chapter 154: I'm On My Way!
Stacey didn't bat an eye at the scene in front of her, casually taking a glass of water and tossing it on Brysen's face.
This snapped him back into reality, making him gasp for breath.
"Get the letter here, now," Stacey commanded, her voice as cold as ice.
Brysen, nursing his sore neck, could only nod in fear.
Out of nowhere, Stacey flung the glass away.
It broke on impact, with bits of glass scattering everywhere, adding weight to her command.
"Quickly!" Stacey ordered, her voice deep and stern.
Brysen quickly called his driver to bring the letter from his study, trying his best not to get on her bad side any further.
Stacey was by the window, watching the chilly night outside with her arms crossed.
Suddenly, she asked Brysen, "Did you ever love my mom, Brysen?"
Caught off guard, Brysen stuttered, "I...I did."
"Why'd you stop?" Stacey asked, her voice now strangely gentle. "She was such a good woman."
