"Let me lay it out for you, Samuel." Joshua smirked, a mocking glint in his eyes. "It was my idea to have Abigail give me that pin and refuse to give you the money for Kayla's treatment.
"I told her that Kayla's illness was a bottomless pit—it wouldn't help her anyway, so why waste the money?" He sneered, tilting his head. "If she still cared about you, do you think she would have ignored Kayla's life just to please me?
"Oh, and that charity project for medical research—that was my suggestion too. I told Abigail to cancel it because I wanted her to fund my film instead. Once I make it big, I'll bring in way more money than some charity project ever could."
He leaned in closer, his tone dripping with disdain as he continued, "What's the point of helping those people? They're just going to die eventually. What's their gratitude worth even if you save a few of them? Is it going to make her any richer?"
