The wedding concluded without any additional disruption. The wolves gathered in the banquet hall as the guests left. Due to the diversity of guests at the wedding, they could not immediately identify the assailants.
"I am grateful that wolves from multiple packs came to today's gathering," Richard said from the platform. "Several of you may have noticed that traps were set for my granddaughter during the wedding photo shoot."
Murmurs of unease filled the room. "Oh, lord! Which pack could hide such hideous intention?" the wolves questioned.
"I don't think it was the wolves," Richard said. The noise died down as every wolf turned their attention to him. "The wolves wouldn't set those cheap traps to expose my granddaughter in front of the humans."
A smattering of whispers and muttering filled the hall again. "Does that imply it was the humans who set the trap?"
