43. FURLOUGH

~ Violet ~ “Ciao bella, welcome to Roma!” Adrian was practicing his Italian accent while stretching his arm out, making that famous Italian hand gesture. He was standing dramatically in front of the big windows in the hotel as if he was showcasing the view of Rome to everyone else. Damon flat out ignored him while Talia and Violet laughed and shook their heads in disapproval.  “Okay, babe, I think you should just stick to English,” Talia said as she pulled her husband away from the hotel window. “You don’t like my Italian?” he asked using another cringey Italian accent.  “I like it,” she replied. “But only when it comes on a plate,” Adrian rolled his eyes and the couple started laughing. Violet found them to be very adorable. All morning long, Adrian kept cracking jokes to get Talia’s attention and she’d play along. They had inside jokes for everything and they were always laughing at each other for no reason. This must be what it looks like when you’re in love with your best friend. S
