Chapter 22: Protest
"Sarina, where are you?" Sophia's voice paused for a moment, then continued, "Can we meet?"
Sarina wanted to refuse, but she knew avoiding wouldn't solve anything.
Plus, her belly would only get bigger.
Sarina always wanted a home. Since marrying Eden, she did have a home, her own room, but she felt uncertain.
Because deep down, she knew the man she loved never truly had her in his heart.
Since they got married, despite their physical closeness, Eden saw her only as his prey, his playmate.
And Eden always had his own room. When he was in a good mood, he might call her or tell the butler he wouldn't be coming back.
But most of the time, Eden wouldn't say.
Sometimes, they wouldn't even exchange a few words for a whole month.
Of course, she still had to fulfill her role as prey, feed him.
