Chapter 254 Seeing the Flying Squirrel Again
Upon returning to the temporary base, I noticed that the people who stayed there had rather unpleasant expressions on their faces.
"What's wrong?" I inquired.
As we approached, one of the assistants remained silent, merely pointing in a direction with a pale face. I followed his gaze and discovered a lifeless beast lying on the ground.
The expressions of Kelly and me changed instantly. I quickly walked over to inspect, and to my surprise, it was another lynx!
Turning to them, I asked, "Has anyone been injured?"
The assistant who had pointed to the lynx earlier spoke, "One soldier got his arm scratched, but the wound has been cleaned and bandaged, and there don't seem to be any issues at the moment."
Nodding solemnly, I headed to check on the injured soldier. When he saw me, he sat up from the bed, greeted me, and was about to get up, but I stopped him.
