Chapter 20 Back to Houghton

Just when I wanted to continue my conversation with the wolf, she was gone. I carried Vincent on my back to the castle gates. When the guards saw me carrying Vincent, they immediately came over to help me. I said to one of the guards, "Go and get a doctor." He ran into the castle while the other guard and I sent Vincent back to his room. When Diana heard that I had returned, she immediately came over to me and bit me on my neck right in front of Vincent. I pursed my lips tight, afraid that I would make a noise. Diana only noticed Vincent in bed after drinking some of my blood. She looked at Vincent and asked me anxiously, "What happened to Vincent?" I clutched my neck and said, "He got hurt fighting with Cailth while trying to save me." At that moment, the doctor entered. The doctor got Diana and me to wait by the door while he checked up on Vincent. Diana and I obediently headed over to give him some space. I looked anxious. Diana asked, "Did you fall for Vincent?"
