Chapter 99: Decisive Blow

Baron followed the youth outside and stopped in front of the soldiers who had eagerly assembled in front of his tent.
"I see you're all a little too eager," he said, laughing. But others were tense. "What do you want? Revenge?" he asked in the deep, intimidating voice of 200-year-old shoulders.
"Why?" came the reply. "Death? Or simply because you are lonely?" he asked.
"They took from us," they responded.
"But do we crave war?" he questioned.
"Yes," they affirmed.
"And shall we give them what they came for?" he asked, as a smile slowly appeared on his face.
"Yes," they said, and Baron could feel the anger, feel the rage. It seeped into his bones and took over his senses.
"Good," Baron said. "I wouldn't have had it any other way," he added.
They instantly moved to position, wasting no time. They covered a very little amount of ground in a few hours, bridging the gap between the group of trees separating them from the battlements of the pack.
