I kept looking at the male in front of me with fear pounding in my ears.
"What is that supposed to mean?" I asked, afraid.
"It means you're not going anywhere, Talia. You'll stay until I'm fine with it. Everyone keeps telling me that you have some things to say, but that it's not their story to tell," he said.
"Tell me something, please," I said, but his eyes kept glowing red.
"Oh my goddess," I whispered, feeling tired and exhausted. I placed a hand on my belly and looked around the office.
He suddenly cleared his throat, calling my attention to him. He was squatted in front of me, cocking his head to one side.
"Your skin is so white," he said with one hand tracing my exposed leg.
"Don't talk to me," I said, pulling my leg away from his hand, but his warm hand simply followed me.
"So soft. Do they make you different there?" he asked, curiosity in his eyes.
