Chapter 52: Confront the Man

The road was long, but they didn't have a choice. Werewolves could not fly.
Something about their bones being too dense and the fact that when they did try to fly, too much motion sickness would happen, and it would incapacitate both the pilot and them.
"Perhaps we could use witches or wizards to fly us instead?" he remembered asking when he was younger and in the Academy.
"Witches and wizards are wrong. They are the direct antithesis of our kind. A weakness. We do not mingle with them, and they do not mingle with ours, except for the one that rules in the witch's forest."
Still, the more Frederick thought about it, the more he would have preferred to slice the journey of traveling home by at least six hours.
"I hate traveling," Anthony said beside him as though he could read his mind.
"Shut up and suck it up," Frederick said, repressing a smile.
Anthony pouted in the rearview mirror while Frederick continued to look outside.
