“Shut up!” Frederick roared, kicking Darius hard in the ribs. Darius groaned in pain, rolling onto his side.
Baron rushed forward, grabbing Frederick by the arm and pulling him back. “Enough!”
Frederick whipped around, his eyes wild with rage. “No! He deserves this! He deserves worse!”
Kill him quickly. Be done with it. Baron hated when things dragged out like this. Frederick turned to look back at Baron, his eyes blazing with fury. When Darius was torturing Talia, he hadn’t thought about that. Baron tightened his jaw; he wouldn’t let his anger take over just yet. He had heard Talia's voice and confirmed that she was fine. That was all he needed. Perhaps he should step back and let Frederick slowly and painfully kill Darius. It might be better for Frederick's mental health.
“I should’ve killed him myself,” Frederick muttered, stepping back, bitterness lacing his voice. “Leaving him alive was a mistake.”
