"Is this it, then?" Agatha asked the newly commissioned poisoner. In truth, she had forgotten the old man’s name, save for the fact that he had spectacles on his face.
"Yes," the old man confirmed. "It is colorless, tasteless, and odorless. Correct?"
Agatha nodded, slightly annoyed at the repetitive questions, but she needed to make sure. She had to. "Can I have another vial? I would like to conduct some experiments on my own." She cocked her head towards him.
"This thing is expensive. The ingredients in this vial cost more than what you’d earn in the next twenty years, so I cannot simply hand it to you. It’s reserved for the execution of our loved enemies," the man said, his voice stern. "I’m sure you know this by now. This is for the assassination of our worst foes."
