"Do you smell that?" Baron asked, stepping outside his tent.
"Smells like smoke and blood," Baron said.
"Exactly," Taron smiled. "Look at it," he said. "We won. Many believe that we should have killed all of them, crushed them so that they can never rise up again. Ensure that they will never entertain the idea of attacking us even in their dreams."
Baron smiled. "I made a promise, and you know that. But I understand the lust of war. Tasting one death leads to wanting ten more, then a hundred, and finally a thousand." He turned to look at Taron. "Not now. Besides, we have the Alpha captured. The Beta has offered his full surrender, so really, we don't have any need to kill them all. If we do, we would be the savages they think we are."
"Then let us be the savages," Taron interrupted.
