635: DRIVING HOME THE MESSAGE
LUKE'S POV
Matt's careless words ignited a flame of rage within me, burning hotter with each passing second. As he stood before me, his smug expression only added fuel to the fire.
I could feel my jaw clenching and my hands balling into fists as I glared at him, my eyes burning with anger. His words had cut deep, and I could feel the heat rising in my face as I struggled to contain my emotions. I could barely contain the urge to lash out and give him a piece of my mind. But instead, I stood still, seething with anger and resentment.
"What's wrong, Luke? What's with the angry face all of a sudden?" Matt asked, giving me a mocking smirk.
"How dare you talk like that?" I snapped, moving closer to him.
"Talk like what? I was just telling the truth. I mean, everyone knows what you did," he continued with his mockery.
"Just shut it!"
"Don't think I'm scared of you, Luke. You know what I'm saying is true. It might have happened five years ago, but it's still fresh in my head. Cheater!"
