611: CHECKING UP
ARIEL'S POV
The next morning, I opened my eyes, yawning, and Janice was in her room, sleeping peacefully. It was 6 a.m., and there was still time for her to get ready before I drove her to school. Well, that's if Cherry's Mom didn't arrive to pick her up. That woman had really been a blessing since I stopped living with Luke.
Speaking of Luke, I wondered how he must be doing right now. What he was thinking about, I was just thinking of how we were when I wasn't by his side. Would he still cheat, or was he regretting what he did? I had no idea about that, but I just hoped it was a second thought.
Still lying in bed, my mind was still heavy with thoughts of this whole situation, and then my phone suddenly rang, shattering the tranquility of the morning. I groaned softly, reaching over to grab it from the bedside table, my heart sinking as I saw Luke's name flashing on the screen.
