543: EARLY MORNING MOMENTS
ARIEL'S POV
The next morning, Luke was already preparing to head off to work. He looked dashing in his suit, his beauty kept on compounding day by day.
I sat on the bed while he stood close to the mirror, gazing at himself as he adjusted his tie.
"Hmm, Ariel. This tie feels kind of old," he said, still staring at himself, eyes fixed on the red tie.
"Why do you say so?" I asked, not seeing any fault in it.
"I don't know. The feeling's just there."
“Well,” I started, watching Luke as he examined his attire with a critical eye, “I’d say it looks just as good on you as it always has.”
He shook his head, sighing slightly as he looked back at me. “I suppose it’s not so much the tie that’s the problem as what it represents. It’s the same tie I wore to the worst meeting of my life.” A small smile played at the corner of his lips.
I tilted my head, curiosity piquing my interest. “The worst meeting of your life? Care to share?” I teased, scooting closer to him on the bed
