"I'm really sorry, but I can't just do this right now," Luke told me, and I nodded understandingly.
But I asked promptly, "Do what?"
He shot me a confused face. "You know what I'm talking about."
"Uhmm, no, I don't. Can you be more specific?" I gave him a false smile.
He sighed, shaking his head. "What are you trying to do?"
"Me? What am I trying to do?" I made a silly face.
"I don't know; that's why I'm asking."
"Well, I'm not doing anything. I was just asking a question because I literally have no idea what you're talking about."
"How in the world are you going to tell me that? You clearly know what I'm talking about. You are just joking with me."
"Honestly, I don't," I told him.
"Are you kidding me?" He blurted straightaway.
"Do you actually think I will be lying?"
"I can't actually tell. I don't know you," he answered.
I chuckled, shaking my head. "You don't know me?"
"Uhm, do I?"
"I am your wife."
